Phoenix Television Station Calls New Attack Ad Claims Against Vernon Parker"Fiction” AZ09.

Phoenix, AZ – On the same day the Vernon Parker campaign demanded that a defamatory ad be pulled from all Valley TV stations, ABC15 released a fact check on that ad ruling almost every claim"FICTION”.

Click here to see the ABC15 fact check.

Claim from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad:

"Parker touted a plan that would replace Medicare, leaving seniors at the mercy of insurance companies, costing them an extra $6,400 a year.”

The FACT? ABC15 labeled it FICTION saying:
"In an interview earlier this month, Parker does talk about looking at entitlements when asked about the Paul Ryan budget but doesn’t reference Medicare specifically. In fact, just a few moments later in the interview Parker says, ‘we have to honor our commitment with seniors.’

Claim from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad:
"Parker would end the Social Security guarantee.”

The FACT? ABC15 labeled it FICTION saying:
"The ad references a candidate forum from June of this year in which Parker does say"everything must be on the table” when it comes to social security but does not say he’d end the social security guarantee as the ad claims.

Claim from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad:
"Abolish the Department of Education... which could cost Arizona schools 800 million dollars.”

The FACT? It should be labeled MISLEADING:

Vernon Parker has said the Dept of Education should go so that the money Arizonans send to Washington to fund the agency would instead stay in our state making education local.
