August Jobs Numbers Beg The Question That Obama & @KyrstenSinema Can’t Answer in AZ09.

"Where Are the Jobs?”

As Democrats Rally For Four More Years Of Obama’s Failed Policies, Disappointing August Job Numbers Signal Bleak Outlook

Washington --- National unemployment for the month of August was announced today at the unacceptably high rate of 8.1 percent. Held by a broken promise that the unemployment rate would be below 6 percent under the Obama administration, Democrats continue to obstruct Arizona small businesses with job-destroying government regulations and a relentless pursuit of their deficit-spending addiction. President Obama’s rhetoric last night failed to answer the one key question for the future of this country.
"Behind every speech by President Obama are the statistics that tell the real story of his disappointing time in office, and these grim jobs numbers for August are a case in point,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."The Democrats’ economy simply isn’t working, and Americans are still asking the question that Kyrsten Sinema and her party can’t answer: ‘Where are the jobs?’”

In August, the national unemployment rate remained unacceptably high at 8.1 percent. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Accessed 9/7/2012)

In contrast, the White House predicted the unemployment rate would be at about 5.6% by now if we passed their stimulus. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Accessed 9/7/2012; American Enterprise Institute, 8/3/2012)

Four years of broken policies have had lasting economic imprints, further hindering job creation and leading to 42 consecutive months of unemployment at or above 8 percent:

"The stagnation of the labor market in particular is a grave concern not only because of the enormous suffering and waste of human talent it entails, but also because persistently high levels of unemployment will wreak structural damage on our economy that could last for many years," (Pedro da Costa and Alister Bull,"Bernanke says Fed ready to act but short on specifics,” Reuters, 9/1/2012)

But President Obama continues to celebrate, believing his big-government, job-crushing policies have ‘worked’:
"Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan -- and it worked. That’s the difference.” (“Remarks by the President at a Campaign Event,” The White House, 7/25/2012)
