Thanksgiving Wishes and a Request from Congressman Paul Gosar

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Friend,

As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, let us count our blessings of freedom and give thanks for everything that makes America exceptional.

Congressman Gosar visited Praise Chapel Food for Families to hand out
turkeys for the holiday.

As we celebrate at home with friends, family and loved ones, I ask that you please keep the brave members of our armed services, who are unable to be with their families on this special day, in your thoughts and prayers. Though our freedoms and liberties are endowed by our Creator, they are most certainly preserved by the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.

I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Your Help is Needed to Get Economy Going: Small Business Saturday

While many of you may be willing to wait in line on Black Friday, please do not forget the easier shopping option is Small Business Saturday on November 24th.

Arizona’s small businesses are truly the backbone of our communities and the strength of our economy. We have many choices of where to shop for gifts for our loved ones, but this season I encourage you to shop small and buy local where possible.

If you are a small business owner, this an excellent time to grow your business’ online outreach. With eNewsletter sign-ups and special social media offers, your online marketing can increase its reach significantly this Holiday Season.

I ask that you please share your shopping photos with me by posting them on Facebook and tagging me in them.

As always, you can follow everything I am working on in Arizona and Washington, D.C. through my website (gosar.house.gov) on Twitter @repgosar, or through Facebook at Representative Paul Gosar.

Sincerely,

Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S.
Member of Congress

Arizona Republican Party A Well-Fought Battle, We Can Be Proud

With Hundreds of Thousands of Ballots Still To Count Statewide, GOP Not Conceding

PHOENIX – Arizona Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey offered the following statement today as the remaining ballots are counted statewide:

"In this election Arizona sought to lead the nation with our strong support for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. We successfully elected Republican Jeff Flake to the Senate, and we fought vigorously to win our three new congressional seats for Republicans as we await the final tally. We are also very proud that Republicans have held majorities in the Arizona House and Senate, and are encouraged that voters defeated pro-tax Prop 204 and Prop 121, which would have destroyed the current system of electing candidates to office throughout the state.

"And as we await the tally, we are not conceding anything regarding the close races throughout the state, and we trust that our patience will be rewarded with good news. With hundreds of thousands of ballots still to count, the Arizona Republican Party is not conceding.

"I thank each and every one of the more than 1 million Arizona Republicans for their hard work and support, and for their votes to elect our Republican candidates, and not just defend but to forcefully assert the principles of liberty and prosperity.

"But as I thank them, I also have something to ask of them, something I ask of myself as well. Are we ready to begin again? Are we ready to rebuild our resources for 2014? While we celebrate our wins, are we also prepared to analyze our losses, assess our needs, take a good hard look at ourselves, and create a plan for the future? Are we willing to proceed? For my part, the answer is a resounding YES! And I hope you will join me.

"I hope my enthusiasm for the future of our party resonates throughout the state."

Busted Yes on Prop 121 Committee stoops to new low with dishonest Robo Call

Committee's dishonesty shows that Proposition 121 is nothing but a political scheme
Phoenix, AZ – This weekend, Paul Johnson and the Open Government Committee Supporting Prop 121 (Yes on 121) stooped to a new low. The Yes on 121 Committee sent a dishonest robo call designed to mislead voters to support Prop 121. The transcript of the call states:

"Tired of dirty politics, let's clean things up with Prop 121. The top two open elections, open government initiative. 121 is supported by Republicans because it will help combat politicians who overspend and add to our deficit. That's why the Democratic Party and Liberal politicians oppose it. Vote yes on Prop 121. Paid for by Open Government Committee supporting Prop 121. Major funding by Greater Phoenix Leadership, Professional Fire Fighters of AZ, International Association of Firefighters (an out of state contributor), Cali-companies Inc."

To answer the question, yes, voters are tired of dirty politics. Voters are tired of being lied to and they are tired of political schemes, like Proposition 121, that over promise and under deliver.

The fact is that the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, Libertarian Party and Green Party are unified in opposition to Proposition 121 because it is bad public policy that will limit voters choice, increase the influence of special interests, potentially shut out minority candidates and essentially destroy independent and third party candidates.

To suggest that Republicans support 121 because it will "combat politicians who overspend and add to our deficit" is just shameful.

The call is designed to intentionally mislead voters. The Greater Phoenix Leadership, Professional Fire Fighters of AZ, International Association of Firefighters and Cali-companies Inc. should be ashamed to be associated with an organization that would try to intentionally mislead voters.

"This call is a desperate attempt by the Yes on 121 Committee to mislead voters away from the negative consequences that would take place if 121 is passed," stated Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery. "Unfortunately for them, it shows just how desperate the committee is by blatantly lying about false support for their radical proposal."

A recording of the robo call can be found here: www.dropbox.com/s/x4gzkednbtufhrr/Yes121-Dishonest...l.mov

County Attorney Bill Montgomery Calls On Sinema to Release Client List AZ09.

"Kyrsten Protects Criminals, Vernon Protects Families”

Phoenix, AZ – Maricopa County‘s top law enforcement officer, County Attorney Bill Montgomery, is demanding that Democratic Congressional candidate Kyrsten Sinema support her claim to having been a criminal defense attorney and reveal which cases she worked on. Over the course of her career, Sinema has claimed to have worked for murderers and other violent criminals but refuses to say which ones.

In a 2006 interview, Kyrsten Sinema boasted about her work as a"criminal defense attorney who represents murderers.” Shawn Macomber,"The Marginalized Mainstream,” The American Spectator, June 14, 2006.

Montgomery is joining Vernon Parker and the entire Arizona Republican Party in demanding Sinema release her client list to support her claims and reveal just who she stands
with.
"Democrat Kyrsten Sinema claims to have made a career out of protecting criminals. She shouldn’t hide who she has defended now just because she is running for office. Arizona families deserve to know the whole truth so why is Sinema keeping who she claims to have defended a secret. Vernon Parker has the support of national victims rights groups because he is committed to protecting law-abiding citizens. I look forward to working with him when he gets to Congress,” said Bill Montgomery, Maricopa County Attorney.

*On Wednesday, the National Organization of Victims of Juvenile Lifers spoke out against Kyrsten Sinema's "extreme and alarming record on victim's rights" and gave their support to Vernon Parker.

National Physicians’ Group Endorses Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate

Flake best candidate to lead commonsense health-care reforms in Washington

PHOENIX – Jeff Flake has received the endorsement from Docs4PatientCare, an organization of concerned physicians committed to the establishment of a health care system that preserves the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, promotes quality of care, supports affordable access to all Americans, and protects patients’ personal health care decisions.

Jeff Flake earned the support of Docs4PatientCare because of his opposition to President Obama’s health care law and his commitment to its full repeal. Docs4PatientCare has lauded the efforts of those they support to defund, repeal and replace the onerous law with a market-based policy that preserves the doctor-patient relationship and protects patient choice.

Docs4PatientCare notes that its endorsements are highly sought after and rare. In fact, less than fifteen candidates nationwide received the official Docs4PatientCare endorsement.

For more information on Jeff Flake and why he’s running for the U.S. Senate, please visit his website at www.JeffFlake.com.
