Kyrsten Sinema’s Beguiled Ad Did she forget about Leeches and her Medicaid vote? AZ09

Phoenix, AZ – Today the Vernon Parker campaign released the following analysis of Kyrsten Sinema’s new misleading ad:
"In radical leftist Kyrsten Sinema’s new ad she claims to be a friend to moms but called them ‘leeches,’ and Sinema claims she protects kids but voted to kick 280,000 of the neediest Arizonans off of Medicaid. It’s the latest example of Kyrsten Sinema saying one thing to get elected, but doing another in office,” said Alyssa Pivirotto, Parker's Communications Director.

FACT: According to a January 20, 2011, Arizona Daily Star article,"State Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Olivia Cajero Bedford voted Thursday to allow a bill to move forward that would authorize the state to ask for a Medicaid waiver request from the federal government.”

FACT: According to a April 13, 2012, Phoenix New Times article, Sinema said"’These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they’re choosing to live that life. That’s bullshit. I mean, what the f*** are we really talking about here?"

  1. Having trouble parsing the English in that "leeches" out-take, Vernon? Ask someone competent to read English to translate what you quoted to something you can understand. A subjective clause is not meant to convey some situation that is claimed to exist, but some situation being put forward as part of a larger situation to contemplate. Since you seem to have struggled in your English classes, you'll probably need someone to explain this note to you in simpler terms, but I cannot be bothered to write down to your level. Who knows how many downward revisions would be needed to reach your level of comprehension.
