Spending IS the PROBLEM! Obama Wants A Credit Card To Raise The Debt Ceiling; Will @RepSinema Give It To Him?

It’s Time For Sinema To Tell President Obama That We Need To Cut Spending.

WASHINGTON – At yesterday’s press conference, President Obama insisted that Congress blindly raise the debt ceiling without any corresponding spending cuts.

Obama is hoping that his Washington allies like Kyrsten Sinema will continue to rubberstamp his failed policies that are bankrupting the country.
"Kyrsten Sinema has backed President Obama on his irresponsible policies that created this fiscal mess,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek."Now will she also give the president a platinum credit card so he can raise the debt ceiling without cutting any spending?”

Sinema and her Washington allies in the House need to stand up to President Obama and tell him that our country has a spending problem. Tell them to sign our petition at www.nrcc.org/spending. (www.nrcc.org/spending)

Yesterday, President Obama Refused To Negotiate On Raising The Nation’s Debt Ceiling."Chuck, what I'm saying to you is that there is no simpler solution, no ready, credible solution other than Congress either give me the authority to raise the debt ceiling or exercise the responsibility that they have kept for themselves and raise the debt ceiling. Because this is about paying your bills. Everybody here understands this. I mean, this is not a complicated concept.” (President Barack Obama, Press Conference, 1/14/13 www.nytimes.com/2013/01/14/us/politics/full-transc...;_r=0)

In A Meeting With Speaker John Boehner, President Obama Said Our Country Doesn’t Have A Spending Problem."‘At one point several weeks ago,” Mr. Boehner says,"the president said to me, ‘We don't have a spending problem.’” (Stephen Moore, The Education Of John Boehner, The Wall Street Journal, 1/6/13 online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142412788732348250457...tweet)

Because Four Years of Trillion Dollar Deficits Wasn’t Enough, Will Sinema Support Obama’s Plan to Spend Even More? AZ09.

Dems Think Their Policies ‘Worked’ So They Want to Continue Strapping Families and Job Creators With Job-Killing Tax Hikes to Protect Their Spending Habits

WASHINGTON --- President Obama is making a renewed push to bury job creators and families in new taxes, claiming his second term top priority would be to increase taxes on job creators in order to continue his party’s spending habits. This approach – which Kyrsten Sinema's party has voted for – will crush small business owners and prevent them from creating jobs (Roll Call , 8/1/2012).
"President Obama and House Democrats are out-of-touch to think that by continuing their failed policies of more taxing, spending and borrowing will somehow produce different results,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. "Arizona voters, unlike Washington Democrats, know that you can’t spend your way to economic recovery – but will Kyrsten Sinema just blindly follow her party leaders?”

With the blind allegiance of his party, the deficit surpassed $1 trillion each year President Obama was president. (“Federal deficit tops $1 trillion for fourth year,” Associated Press, 10/12/2012)

This is the same failed economic approach that President Obama said has ‘worked:’
"Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan -- and it worked. That’s the difference.” (“Remarks by the President at a Campaign Event,” The White House, 7/24/2012)

Therefore, Americans can expect the same stale approach as President Obama admitted his second term plan is to focus on a deficit deal that includes tax hikes on job creators:

"’Well, there’s no doubt that our first order of business is going to be to get our deficits and debt under control...But we are also going to need some revenue,’ [said Obama].” (Daniel Strauss,"Obama says 'first order of business' in second term would be deficit,” The Hill, 10/29/2012)

Does Kyrsten Sinema Support Using Devastating Defense Cuts As A"Weapon” in Her Party’s Tax-Increasing Agenda? AZ09

Washington Democrats Threaten Devastating Military Cuts Because They Refuse to on Families and Job Creators

WASHINGTON --- Across-the-board cuts would severely threaten our national security but Kyrsten Sinema's Democrat allies have voted to use them as a political pawn so they can get the job-destroying tax hikes they want (Roll Call , 8/1/2012). Sinema and her party are doing everything to distract voters and increase their election chances, from denying that the cuts will happen to offering defense contractors incentives to break the law and not hand out pink slips days before the election.
"It’s troubling that Democrats would use the health of our national security as a ‘weapon’ just so they can continue their reckless spending addiction,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."Arizona families and small business owners do not want these devastating defense cuts and can’t afford more taxes and reckless spending of their tax dollars.”

In the third presidential debate, President Obama attempted to distract from the Democrats’ job-destroying policies after the election:
"’First of all, the sequester is not something that I proposed. It’s something that Congress has proposed. It will not happen. The budget that we’re talking about is not reducing our military spending, it’s maintaining it,’ [said Obama].” (“Remarks by the President and Governor Romney in the Third Presidential Debate,” The White House, 10/23/2012)

In truth, Democrat leaders see devastating defense cuts as a"weapon” in their efforts to increase taxes:
"‘That may be the only way to bring some Republicans into a position of talking,’ Sen. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the assistant Democratic leader, said late last week. ‘We're not going to unload our weapons at this point.’” (Lisa Mascaro,"Congressional Democrats Dig In on Fiscal Cliff Scenario,” Los Angeles Times, 7/16/2012)

Indeed, the very idea of sequestration originated with Democrats:
"The book ‘The Price of Politics,’ by Washington Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward, makes it clear the idea for the draconian spending cuts originated in the White House – and not in Congress.” (Austin Wright,"Bob Woodward Book Could Bolster Republican Attack on W.H.,” Politico, 9/7/2012)

Washington Democrats tried to downplay sequester by requesting that defense contractors"hold off on layoff warnings.” (Jeanne Sahadi,"White House to Contractors: Hold Off on Layoff Warnings,” CNN, 9/28/2012)

Barber Uses Devastating Defense Cuts As"Weapon” in His Party’s Tax-Increasing Agenda

Washington Democrats Threaten Devastating Military Cuts Because They Refuse to on Families and Job Creators

WASHINGTON --- Across-the-board cuts would severely threaten our national security but Ron Barber and his Democrat leaders have already voted to use them as a political pawn so they can get the job-destroying tax hikes they want (Roll Call , 8/1/2012). Barber and his party are doing everything to distract voters and increase their reelection chances, from denying that the cuts will happen to offering defense contractors incentives to break the law and not hand out pink slips days before the election.

You Don’t Have to Settle for a Future Crippled by Ron Barber's Government Takeover of Healthcare AZ02

Disappointed Arizona Families Cannot Carry the Increasing Costs of ObamaCare

WASHINGTON --- After two debates, President Obama has yet to provide a vision for the future and continues to blame others for his policies that have buried small businesses with more regulations and taxes. With Ron Barber at his side, families and small business owners can expect his big-government takeover of healthcare to cost more money and take away more choices in the years to come (Roll Call , 7/11/2012).
"If Obama and Barber's vision for the future looks anything like the past four years, Arizona families are in for more devastating costs thanks to ObamaCare,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."This November, Arizona families and job creators are ready to tell Washington Democrats that they simply cannot survive four more years of the Obama-Barber agenda.”

After the second presidential debate, alarms sounded when Obama failed, yet again, to provide the American people with his plan for the next four years:

"’I just want to say one thing we haven't brought up yet but it's incredibly important. The President did not lay out a second term agenda. ... it was absent. He didn't lay out a second term agenda any more than he did in the first debate. And that is where he is the weakest. And he didn't address it, I thought at all,’ [said Mark Halperin]." (MSNBC's "Morning Joe," 10/17/2012)

Regardless of Democrats’ promise to decrease them, healthcare costs increased in 2012 as families anticipate what disastrous effects ObamaCare will have when it’s fully implemented in 2014. Ann Kirkpatrick makes the "Bonus Bunch" - 10 Most Corrupt Democrats of 2012. AZ01

NRCC Releases Latest"Corrupt Democrat” Video: "The Bonus Bunch”
The Story of Four Politicians Who Thought They Could Do And Spend Whatever They Wanted

Washington --- Today, the National Republican Congressional Committee released its newest Corrupt Democrats video featuring former Representatives Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01), Carol Shea Porter (NH-01), Dan Maffei (NY-24) and Charlie Wilson (OH-06) for their over-the-top spending abuse. Even after being booted out of office by voters, these Democrats splurged -- spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on salary increases and bonuses to their staffs.
"Voters have had enough of over the top spending sprees from House Democrats that have increased taxes and driven the economy deeper into debt,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."When will these corrupt Democrats realize that their days of treating taxpayer dollars like Monopoly money are up?”

New Report Ron Barber's Healthcare Takeover Has Already Destroyed 30,000 Jobs and Cost $27.6 Billion in Regulations AZ02

ObamaCare Isn’t Even Fully Implemented and It’s Already Devastating the Economy

WASHINGTON --- A new study reveals that the regulations in Ron Barber's government takeover of healthcare have cost almost $28 billion and destroyed 30,000 jobs. ObamaCare is set to go into full implementation in 2014 and this report confirms what American families and small business owners’ fear – that its costs on our economy will only get more severe.
"The burdens of Ron Barber's healthcare overhaul are costing Arizona much-needed jobs and making healthcare more costly for families,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."With 30,000 jobs already lost and $27.6 billion in costs to job creators, how much worse will ObamaCare’s impact have to get before Barber realizes it’s destroying any chance for economic recovery?”

Ron Barber voted to keep ObamaCare and its job-destroying regulations the law of the land. (Roll Call , 7/11/2012)

A new study exposes the heavy burdens ObamaCare has had on our economy, raising questions about how much worse they will be after the law is fully implemented:
"Fully implementing Obamacare regulations have already cost the U.S. economy $27.6 billion and more than 18,000 jobs according to a new study released today. Just the top ten most expensive regulations have cost $24.4 billion, according to the new non-partisan and independent American Action Forum (AAF) report.” (Conn Carroll,"Study: Obamacare regs have cost $27.6 billion, killed 30,000 jobs,” The Washington Examiner, 10/9/2012)

Arizona Middle Class ‘Buried’ Under Ron Barber's Toxic Policies, Define Success as Not Falling Behind. AZ02

Debilitating Uncertainty Has Arizona Workers Fearing Fate of Future Generations

WASHINGTON --- A recent survey highlights how middle class families believe they are"struggling to advance” under President Obama’s failed economy. This comes as no surprise as even Vice President Joe Biden admitted on the campaign trail that Ron Barber's big-government policies have"buried” Arizona families and small business owners in unacceptably high unemployment, leaving them with little faith in the direction of the economy.
"Ron Barber won’t get government out of the way of economic growth and Arizona workers are suffering for it,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."Arizonans are finished with funding Barber's taxing, spending and borrowing policies that are ruining any opportunity for growing the economy.”

In a new report, middle class families are"struggling to advance” under Washington Democrats’ leadership:
"A majority of Americans now define success as not falling behind. They worry that fundamental changes in the economy are making it more difficult for them—and their children—to get ahead.” (Ronald Brownstein,"Struggling to Advance,” National Journal, 9/28/2012)

Vice President Biden admitted what the American middle class already knew – that his party has"buried” them in economic hardships:
"’This is deadly earnest. How they can justify ... raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried the last four years?’ [said Biden].” (Patricia Zengerle,"Biden: U.S. Middle Class ‘Buried the Last Four Years,’” Reuters, 10/2/2012)

Ann Kirkpatrick's Party Starts the Fiscal Year with a Gift to Americans A $16 Trillion Debt. AZ01

Will Kirkpatrick's Party’s Spending Addiction Continue to

Spiral the Debt Out of Control?

WASHINGTON --- President Obama said at his inaugural speech that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. The deficit was at $1.3 trillion then and after Ann Kirkpatrick helped pass reckless spending packages like the nearly $1 trillion stimulus, the deficit remains above $1 trillion in Obama’s fourth year — pushing the debt over $16 trillion.
"Regardless of his promise, Obama has refused to end his party’s spending sprees and Ann Kirkpatrick supported him right along,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."Kirkpatrick's $833 trillion stimulus has failed to get the unemployment rate below 8.0 percent and succeeded in delaying economic recovery. Arizona families can’t afford to fund her addiction again.”

Thanks to Washington Democrats, the last four years added over $5 trillion to our national debt:
"Shortly after his inauguration in January 2009, Obama pledged to cut the budget deficit, then $1.3 trillion, in half by the end of his first term.
"When fiscal 2012 ended at midnight Sunday, the outgoing 12-month yearly deficit was again $1.3 trillion — the fourth consecutive year it has exceeded $1 trillion.
"The deficits have helped push the national debt to a shade over $16 trillion, up from $10.7 trillion when Obama took office.” (Tom Raum,"Deficits to be hot topic in 1st debate,” Associated Press, 10/1/2012)

The White House promised the unemployment rate would be at about 5.6% by now with passage of their failed stimulus. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Accessed 9/7/2012; American Enterprise Institute, 8/3/2012)

Does Ron Barber Support Obama Bullying Contractors to Illegally Keeping Quiet on Massive Layoffs? AZ02.

Dems Offer Taxpayer Dollars to Cover Legal Fees if Defense Contractors Don’t Send Pink Slips.

WASHINGTON --- After 43 straight months of unemployment above 8.0 percent, America now faces even more devastating job losses due to across-the-board defense cuts, and contractors are legally required to warn of these imminent layoffs. Does Ron Barber agree with Obama’s attempt to illegally cover up the impact on defense jobs and make taxpayers foot the legal fees?
"Ron Barber thinks he can have his cake and eat it too, championing Obama’s job-killing policies and then covering up their devastating effects on the job market,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."Barber and his party’s politically-motivated agenda is not only unsustainable, it’s motivated by their desperate attempts to deceive the public.”

Under law, defense contractors have to send notice of their plans to lay off workers. This comes as Democrats refuse to stop the looming tax hikes that will devastate small businesses:
"The White House on Friday told government contractors worried about fiscal cliff spending cuts to hold off on warning employees about possible layoffs.
"The government said it would cover legal costs if contractors are forced to slash their payrolls because of the looming $109 billion in automatic cuts next year and are alleged to have violated the WARN Act.” (Jeanne Sahadi,"White House to Contractors: Hold Off on Layoff Warnings,” CNN, 9/28/2012)

Nancy Pelosi wants @Ann_Kirkpatrick back in AZ01

Nancy Pelosi has a message for Ann Kirkpatrick:"Please, come back to Congress.”

A new NRCC ad in Arizona lays out Kirkpatrick’s support for ObamaCare and the Pelosi agenda.

NRCC COMMENT:"Nancy Pelosi might want Ann Kirkpatrick back in Congress, but Arizonans don’t. Her support for job-destroying policies like ObamaCare is what led Arizona voters to reject Kirkpatrick just two years ago. They stand ready to reject her agenda again.” – NRCC Spokesman Daniel Scarpinato

The script for the ad is as follows:

ANNOUNCER: Nancy Pelosi is desperate to have Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick back in congress.

Because Kirkpatrick helped her pass ObamaCare.

That vote could destroy 249,000 jobs and raise taxes by $2,000 for some families.

Disappointing Jobs Numbers Reflect Economic Reality No, Ann Kirkpatrick, This Won't Work In AZ01

Democrats Support Job-Crushing Tax Hikes Despite Job Numbers

Washington --- The national unemployment for the month of July was announced today at the disappointingly high rate of 8.3 percent. Despite this disappointing report, Kirkpatrick's party would rather support tax hikes on small businesses than help get the people of Arizona get back to work. As Americans’ confidence in the economy dwindles, will Kirkpatrick be a rubber-stamp for the big government policies her party claims have ‘worked’ over taking responsibility for the dismal state of the economy?
"Democrats want tax hikes, Americans want jobs,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay."Kirkpatrick can continue supporting her party’s failed promises and burdensome taxes on small businesses in this weak economy, but a static unemployment rate above eight percent makes it blatantly obvious that no, Ann Kirkpatrick, this isn’t working.”

In July, the national unemployment rate remained unacceptably high at 8.3 percent. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Accessed 8/3/2012)

Fears of unemployment worsen as Democrats threaten to drive the economy into a recession unless they get their way:
"The Congressional Budget Office has estimated that, if the full range of tax increases and spending cuts were allowed to take effect--a scenario widely referred to as the fiscal cliff--a shallow recession would occur early next year...” (Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke testimony before the Senate Banking Committee, Federal Reserve Web site, 7/17/2012)

Yet President Obama recently said at a campaign function that his big-government, job-crushing policies have ‘worked’:
"Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan -- and it worked. That’s the difference.” (“Remarks by the President at a Campaign Event,” The White House, 7/25/2012)
