RNC - It's Time To Vote!

www.GOP.com -- Americans have a clear choice between which path they would like for the next four years: a brighter future under a Romney presidency or a repeat of the last four years under President Obama. Governor Romney's focus will be fostering job creation and he has a plan for Day One to jumpstart our economy.

RNC - Big Bird, Binders & Bayonets

www.GOP.com -- President Obama is doing exactly what he decried in 2008: making a big election about small things, talking about Big Bird, binders, and bayonets. It's clear President Obama can't defend his record and he's flat out of ideas to get our economy going.

Barack Obama By His Own Admission

WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee releases "By His Own Admission" after President Obama admitted that he can't change Washington--even though that was the central promise of his campaign four years ago. Maybe he's gotten too cozy with the lobbyists he hired in the White House or wasted too many taxpayer dollars on failed green energy companies like Solyndra.

"It's becoming clearer by the day that President Obama's campaign is a mirage," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "'Yes We Can' was appealing to so many four years ago, but four years later, it's turned into 'No I Can't.' Barack Obama's campaign rationale in 2008 was his ability to change how things are done in Washington, but now he says that he can't change things at all and has instead become part of the problem. Washington is more broken, more divisive, and less respected than when Barack Obama was elected four years ago. Now, he says that Washington can only be changed from the outside. The American people will give him that opportunity this fall."

RNC Releases New Web Video "Redistribution II"

WASHINGTON - The Republican National Committee releases the web video "Redistribution II" shedding light on President Obama's belief that redistributing wealth creates prosperity. If this were true, unemployment would be below 8%, we wouldn't have exploding deficits, or have a record number of people in poverty. The fact is redistribution has not worked, and America needs Governor Romney who embraces free enterprise to get American's back to work.

"The telling audio from Barack Obama's days as an Illinois State Senator only reaffirms his belief in a government-centered society," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "His failed agenda over the past four years has promoted government dependency and has left this country struggling. America's choice this November has never been clearer. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will bring with them to the White House a plan that embraces free enterprise and will ensure more people have jobs and fewer people are dependent on government."

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Statement on the August Unemployment Report

WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on the August unemployment report:

"Just hours after President Obama asked America for a second term, we received a clear reminder that he has yet to keep his number one promise to fix the economy," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. "The indisputable message of today's job report: We're not creating jobs fast enough, and we're certainly not better off than we were four years ago.Time is up Mr. President.

"With his massive $831 billion stimulus, President Obama promised to keep unemployment below 8 percent and reduce it to roughly 5.5 percent by this month. Instead, we've endured 43 months of unemployment over 8 percent. Unemployment is even higher than when the president took office.

"President Obama has no new plans for a second term--just more spending and more taxes. If we don't change course, we'll only get more of the same. Mitt Romney is the only candidate with a five-part plan to create 12 million jobs and strengthen the middle class.

"The millions of Americans who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 are realizing it's time to break up with this president. He promised hope and change but delivered division and despair. With Mitt Romney we can do better."

Wednesday's Convention Theme: "We Can Change It"

Tampa, Fla. - Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus today announced the theme and speakers for Wednesday, August 29, the third night of next week's 2012 Republican National Convention. The theme, said Priebus, will be "We Can Change It."

"We want to remind Americans that we don't have to settle for four more years of high unemployment, low pay and deep debt," Priebus said. "We will devote Wednesday night to showing the country that Mitt Romney's 'Plan for a Stronger Middle Class' will restore our country as the best place in the world to find a job, start a business or hire a worker."

Priebus said the Wednesday night program "will show that the Romney approach is both optimistic and achievable." The Romney plan will work toward energy independence, ensure that middle-class Americans have the skills to succeed, pursue trade that works for America, cut the deficit and champion small business.
